will take 1000 non-profit guests on nearly 100 therapeutic, confidence-building
and skills development sailing cruises.

fresh air is so peaceful. It’s so nice to just get out of our

Sailing Heritage Society brightens the lives of ill children with free sailing
trips on our 65’ schooner
Each year over 250 trips are given through our Community Sails Program. We provide
therapeutic sails for children and their families to help ease the physical
and emotional burden of cancer and other serious illnesses. We
build self-confidence and skills development by engaging at-risk and marginalized
youth through our Challenge Sails program, leading to improved self-esteem
and resiliency. And we foster communication, team-building, leadership
and responsibility through our Youth Leadership Sail Training program.
Each year, Sailing Heritage Society
Provides 100 free sail trips
Hosts over 5,000 guests
Benefits from over 5,000 volunteer hours
Gives over 600 Honorary Captain’s Certificate
